The Assistant Liaison Officer will give a remote support from Jigjiga and expected to be available himself to help Dollo Program office in any time as requested. She/he coordinates between ZOA and other beneficiaries in his/her assigned area. In this role, the job holder will act as the middle person between ZOA and the other stakeholders to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, and generally ensure that the relationship is as beneficial as possible.
Typical Responsibilities – Key End Results of the Position:
Facilitate approval of ZOA regional MoU from Regional Bureau
Attend regional coordination meetings
Submit periodical reports to relevant regional bureau
Work with Dollo Ado and Country Office staff members to develop a greater understanding of the organizational business processes and any issues that arise
Develop and foster relationships with the government offices, community and other stakeholders in the area
Collect, analyze, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between ZOA and the other entities in the area
Compile reports about particular incidents, events, or updates about important issue for ZOA and share it to Dollo Ado Area Manager
Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary
Act as a positive representation of the business to the community
Carry out other assigned duties by the organization
Experience & Educational Qualifications:
Diploma with 4 years’ work experience in related role and 2 years for the degree holder in related fields to the job
Customer oriented attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; speaking local language is an advantage
Ability to establish and nurture government stakeholders, the community & beneficiary business relationships
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
Capability to negotiate with and influence others
