Summary of Job Description

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) lecturer provides educational opportunities that add value to the process of learning. Through computers and ICTs, lecturers and students can access and disseminate electronic information such as e-books and e-journals and can improve learning using wireless networks, internet, search engines, databases, and websites. Conventional teaching emphasizes content, and courses are developed based on textbooks and practical sessions as a means of teaching.

Qualification

Possess a recognized teaching qualification Level 4 both in Mathematics and ICT skills that includes C#, PHP, JAVA & Java script, WordPress, MySQL, DBMS, HTML, CSS, Adobe series, Cisco Networking, General Networking Engineering, and MS Office. The candidate should posses following qualifications:

  1. BA in Information Communication Technology/ Computer Science that relevant in the ICT department
  1. Sc. in Information Communication Technology postgraduate with relative 3+ experiences in this background
  • 2 years experiences in lecturing in higher education’s institution or notable universities

IV.

M.Sc. in Information Programming/M.Sc. in Computer Science with relative 3+ experience in higher education intuitions

  1. PhD in Information Technology & Computer Science/MBA is a plus
  2. Certificate/ diploma in TEFL/ TESOL/ EFL/ ESL/ CELTA, /ILTES/TOFEL etc. is a plus

Core Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Teach all areas of the ICT expertise curriculum and to be up to date
  2. Organize the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  1. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation and dynamic critical thinking
  2. Maintain grading progress and exhibit extraordinary students

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Designing course outline with guidance of Vice President of Academic & APPO
  2. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of student development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  1. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  2. Take part in universities events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  3. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within high educationuniversities and international universities
