Headquartered in London, the Foundation also has an operational HQ in Nairobi and offices in Hargeisa, Addis Ababa and Assosa.

Position Summary

IT Network Administrator based in Hargeisa, Somaliland The Pharo Foundation COO in Hargeisa, Somaliland

Key duties and responsibilities

Install and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, servers, cabling) and resources

(including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and general support) Administer network accounts, network policies, and document network administration

Ensure technical support to install, configure, and maintain personal computers application platforms,

networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems

Develop a range of system documentation such as user manuals, standard operating procures (SOPs) as

well as end user tip sheet and guides

Provide first line support on all general and specific software and hardware issues Provide thorough and timely, technical assistance and training to Staff

Ensure that confidentiality and data protection requirements are maintained and adhered to

Manage the security of network computer system integrity by implementing regular and accurate backup and virus/intrusion protection procedures and guidelines and disaster recovery operations

Maintain logs and accurate inventory of assets and issues Monitor network communication

Arrange the timely repair of hardware

Manage service provider and vendor communications

Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users and clients

Somaliland– IT Network Administrator

Knowledge and experience requirements:

The ideal person should possess BSc degree in Computer Sciences or related field Minimum 4 years’ experience working in a Windows/Mac environment

Certified in networking and security (CCNA) will be an advantage Familiar with Windows 10, Azure, Office 365 Suite / Google Suite Active Directory maintenance and Exchange Online

PC hardware, printers, scanners, computer peripherals, mobile devices (iOS, Android) Client PC connectivity – Ethernet, TCP/IP, file server knowledge

Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills

Supporting LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems.

Research into new technologies that can be used to improve business/staff productivity
