Monitoring and Evaluation is an essential tool of programme management. Adopting a monitoring and evaluation practice in an organization changes organizations’ thinking from what-it-is-doing to what-it wants-to-achieve by constantly tracking progress in the project using pre-determinedindicators.

M&E combined with accountability and learning compels managers to become more responsive to grant makers/beneficiaries/partners expectations.Demonstrating how program desired outcomes are being achieved among beneficiaries using grantors/partners’ investments is key in any humanitarian intervention. It also helps implementers to effectively document challenges and draw lessons from the project for timely sharing with stakeholders for decision making.
