This post is important and in line with ZOA Ethiopia strategic plan particularly food security and livelihood interventions in Dollo Ado and its surroundings. In addition to this the post will help ZOA Ethiopia to Ensure appropriate records, up-to – data inventory and management of the program office

Typical Responsibilities – Key end Results of the Position:*

Ensure appropriate records, up-to – data inventory and management of Dollo Ado based store
To receive and count incoming stock with details on delivery order or Waybill, reports any loss or damage in writing to logistics department
To store properly all materials received according to first in first out. Inventory system providing ready access for inventory and inspection and facilitate removal with minimum easy
To keep stock records and registers of stored items with the Bin and Stock cards
Balance the Bin cards against the stock cards
Counts, checks and supplies items as per approval/authorized store releases
Makes periodic checks or records against stocks held and reports any inconsistencies to both finance officer and other focal persons without delay
Make sure that inventory items are stored appropriately with adequate protection against weather, insects & rodents, fire and theft. Store commodity groups separately.
Ensure that the warehouse is clean and tidy, safe and secured at all times
Perform other duties assigned by his/her immediate supervisor
Dealing with Problems:

The incumbent should have a medium degree of problem analysis for both external and internal environments in order to propose viable solution which is in line with the organizational rules and regulations

Communications and Working Relationships:

The incumbent should have medium degree of communication skills in order to deal with the internal and external dealers and business people in the town

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification and Experience

Qualification: College Diploma (10+3) or Technical (TVT) Diploma in Store Management, Procurement Management or Management
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a storekeeper preferably in NGO setting

Skills Specific to the Post

Trustworthy and reliable
Resolves discrepancies in requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery reports by contacting vendors or requesters
Ability to act in a professional and ethical manner
Good Communications Skill both English and local language
Ability to manage multiple assignments  and demanding workload
