|JOB TITLE: FSL Project Assistants (1)|
|TEAM/PROGRAMME: Food Security and Livelihoods Programme||LOCATION: Beletweyne|
|GRADE: 5||TYPE OF CONTRACT: National; 8 months|
|CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.|
| ROLE PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Project Assistant is to directly work with communities to implement FSL interventions in the target locations. In addition to this, the Project Assistants will be assigned additional duties to be undertaken at the office level. The Project Assistant will undertake community mobilization, project set up, delivery of project activities ensuring full adherence to quality benchmarks and other FSL protocols, project monitoring, data collection and management and capacity building community groups.
|SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: FSL Project Officer
Dimensions: Save the Children works in Somalia with a current staff complement of approximately 350 staff.

|SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
• Bachelor degree with at least 1-year relevant Work experience or diploma/degree level qualification with 2 year relevant work experience.
• Experience working in community mobilization, data entry, data collection, project monitoring and reporting.
• Ability to read and write in English as well as Somali language.
• Computer skills, with focus on word processing and excel.
• Strong morals including, honesty, transparency, generosity, altruism and respect.
• Experience in working in harsh environment would be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a team.
• Able to work independently and with limited supervision.
