Who we are looking for?:
Our company is searching for a motivated and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic lead our junior mechanics at the equipment service centre. Your responsibilities will include ensuring resolution of any mechanical problems to our heavy duty machines as well as light vehicles and machinery.
To qualify for the role, the ideal candidate will have to be a proven mechanic with extended experience in the field particularly with heavy duty machines and hydraulic systems, with excellent knowledge of the latest industry trends and techniques. In addition to being an excellent communicator (written and verbal), you will also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and fix defects on all kinds of hydraulic heavy duty equipments.
Repairs gasoline and diesel-powered machineries.
Inspects diesel powered units, hydraulic systems and injection valves and systems.
Inspects hydraulic and cable operated attachments on Heavy Duty Machines.
Communicates any unsafe conditions or accidents in a timely manner. Improve operations, streamline work processes, work cooperatively to
provide seamless work.
Analyses malfunctions repairs and maintains power equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors and pneumatic tools.
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment using hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, replaces defective engines and sub-assemblies such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency.
Welds broken parts and structural members.
Perform assignments with safety being the primary responsibility, knowledge of and utilization of personnel protective equipment and other safety related items/equipment when needed or required.
Interpret and understand technical manuals or other documentation required to assist mechanics with the diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults on equipment to make the required repairs in compliance with required standards operating procedures and with specified time limits.
Disassemble, repair and assemble vehicles, equipment and systems.
Requirements (Person Specifications):
High school graduate
Training certificates in operating and maintaining hydraulic machines. Certificate of Completion in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent.
at least 5 years’ experience with hydraulic motors, valve and cylinder rebuilding
Extensive hydraulic and technical experience in open and closed hydraulic systems
